JoAnn Scatina, Ph.D., leads pre-clinical development (DMPK & safety) at Aviko and is a scientific fellow at Deerfield Discovery and Development. Prior to this role, JoAnn spent three years as a preclinical consultant to Deerfield. Before this, she was senior vice president, preclinical development at Lycera Pharmaceuticals for eight years. Prior to Lycera, JoAnn spent 26 years at Wyeth in roles of increasing responsibility, with her last position being vice president, drug metabolism. JoAnn holds a bachelor’s in microbiology from Rutgers University and a doctorate in pharmacology and toxicology from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
