Ian Hardy, Ph.D., is on the CMC team at Aviko and is a vice president of chemistry, manufacturing & controls (CMC) at Deerfield Discovery and Development. He is responsible for leading CMC development, manufacturing and supply chain activities for all therapeutic modalities for Deerfield’s academic translator companies and select early-stage portfolio companies. Ian has over 25 years of industry experience leading CMC development activities from preclinical through commercialization. He also has experience with lifecycle management in both large pharma (GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca and Merck), as well as emerging biopharmaceutical companies, most recently Lycera. Ian holds a doctorate in pharmaceutics from the University of Nottingham and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
